TERMS OF TRADE

Terms of B2B Agricultural Trade

Clear, plain-language operating rules governing buyer and seller transactions on Tanom Marketplace.

1. Business Tenancy & Representation

Tanom Marketplace is strictly a B2B platform. Accounts belong to registered business entities (farms, cooperatives, restaurants, hotels, canteens) identified by an organization tenant key. Individual users belong to businesses as team members or administrators. All actions—including placing orders, listing harvests, and exchanging messages—are taken on behalf of the registered business.

2. Payment on Pickup or Delivery

Orders placed on Tanom are settled directly between buyer and seller in cash upon fulfillment (cash on delivery or cash on pickup). Tanom does not process credit cards, hold funds in escrow, or deduct payment transaction fees. Prices displayed in the marketplace represent the total gross harvest price in Philippine Pesos (computed in integer centavos).

3. Harvest Listings & Inventory Commitments

Producers listing harvest lots represent that products meet stated grade, packaging, and quantity specifications. When a buyer confirms checkout, stock is atomically reserved in the seller's inventory ledger. If unexpected weather, crop damage, or logistical challenges prevent fulfillment, sellers must cancel promptly with a valid agricultural reason (such as out of stock, quality defect, or date mismatch).

4. Order Lifecycle & Fulfillment

  • Pending: Order placed by buyer; awaiting producer confirmation.
  • Confirmed & Preparing: Producer acknowledges order and prepares harvest batch.
  • Ready for Pickup / Out for Delivery: Logistics in motion.
  • Completed: Goods inspected, accepted, and settled upon handover.

5. Dispute Protocol & Moderation

In the event of spoiled produce, discrepancies in weight, missing crates, or failure to fulfill, buyers may file an issue report or dispute directly on the order record. Both parties may provide responses, and platform administrators review audit trails and notes to assist in resolving disputes or issuing marketplace sanctions.

6. Platform Moderation

Platform administrators reserve the authority to hide listings that violate agricultural standards or suspend business workspaces that engage in fraudulent behavior, unfulfilled orders, or abusive conduct.
